Jamal Al Akkad joined Saudi Aramco in 1997 after an excitement decade as a serial entrepreneur in ICT, education and real estate. Jamal started his career in Saudi Aramco as a Contracts Advisor in the Southern Area Producing then moved to Treasury Organization as a Financial Analyst. Jamal participated in leading the SAP applications implementation and the establishment of the Middle-Office projects in Treasury then selected to join the founding team of the endowment of King Abdullah University for Science & Technology (KAUST). In 2008, Jamal was selected to join the founding team of Saudi Aramco Entrepreneurship Center (Wa’ed). Currently, Jamal is the Consultant of Wa’ed, a lecturer in the MBA program of Dammam University, and a member of the Advisory Board of Durham University Business School in the United Kingdom.
Jamal studied at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals where he obtained his Bachelor degree in Industrial Management, the University of Liverpool where he obtained his Master degree in Business Administration, and currently, Jamal is in the final phase of pursuing his Doctorate degree in Business Administration at Durham University in England.
